One of my botanical paintings was selected and adapted into a dress through a collaboration with Anthropologie.
The Original Painting
The First Bird
This painting marked a natural expansion of my botanical practice. While plants and flowers remain at the centre of my work, I have always seen the botanical world as inseparable from the life that inhabits it.
The appearance of birds within the composition felt less like a departure and more like a continuation — a reflection of the relationship between flora and fauna that exists throughout nature.
From Painting to Dress
The artwork was reinterpreted as a printed textile, bringing elements of the original painting into a new format while retaining its organic movement and botanical character.
